What’s inside

Value a company the way investors, buyers and valuers do, in files you own. Enter the company’s figures once and the workbook runs eight valuation methods, weights them for the company’s stage, draws a football field against the asking price, tests the sensitivity of the result and writes the summary paragraphs for your report. A 16-section Word report template and a two-page method guide complete the kit. No subscription, no macros.

Questions buyers ask

Which valuation methods does it include?

Eight: discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable companies, precedent transactions, earnings multiples, adjusted net assets, liquidation value, the VC method and the Scorecard method for pre-revenue companies. The model weights them for the company's stage, or you set your own weights, and reconciles them into one value range with a point estimate.

Can I value a startup that has no revenue yet?

Yes. Set the stage to Pre-revenue and the model leans on the VC method (what an investor can pay today for a target return at exit) and the Scorecard method (a local benchmark scaled by team, market, product and other factors). Methods without data drop out and the remaining weights rescale automatically.

Is the result a formal valuation?

No. It is an analysis tool that gives you a consistent, documented valuation for negotiations, funding rounds and board decisions. Where a court, regulator, auditor or tax authority will rely on the value, engage a qualified independent valuer; the workbook and report give them a clear starting point.

Where do the market inputs come from?

You enter them, each with a source and a date: the risk-free rate from government bond yields, equity and country risk premiums and industry betas from sources such as Damodaran Online, and peer and deal multiples from filings and deal announcements. The example figures are illustrative.

What do I need to use it?

Microsoft Excel (Microsoft 365, Excel 2016 or later, or Excel for the web) and Microsoft Word. There are no macros and no data tables, so every result recalculates instantly. Enter amounts in any currency and in units, thousands or millions.

Does it work for companies outside the UAE?

Yes. Set the currency and the corporate tax rate, switch off the UAE 0% band, and use the risk-free rate and country risk premium for your market. Everything else works the same way.
